I'm 13 and was wondering would you hit me because....?

Well yesterday i was punched in the face by a kid at my school and i was wondering if he had a good reason. He was (while he was yelling at me) saying that i was flirting with his aunt who was somehow my age. I don't hold a grudge i just want to know even if i was flirting with his aunt is that a good enough reason to hit somebody?
