Why does my boyfriend still treat me badly?

My boyfriend is an extremely lovely guy who says he is in love with me and all but I don't know whether to believe it. I try my hardest and it seems the harder I try the more I have to do. Today he wanted me to go and play basketball with him (which I hate) and I was really tired but I still did it and joined in. After this I went and picked up the DVD's from the library he wanted then bought him KFC with my money which I'm very short on. I made it clear I wanted to watch a movie but he started saying I didn't love him if I wouldn't watch the football, so without complaint I did this. Later on in the night I go to have a rest and he starts calling me boring and that I never do anything for him and such which really pissed me off because it seems a little selfish to me. He is always getting grumpy at me for no reason and doesn't let me see any other guys and all I've done since I met him is sit at home lazing around because he never wants to go out to any parties or anything. What can I do to stop him from taking me for granted?
